Polyester Boning (Baleine)

Polyester boning, also known as Baleine, is a flexible and lightweight boning material that is commonly used in the construction of corsets, dresses, and other structured garments. Made from polyester fibers that are woven into narrow strips, available in various widths, polyester boning is an excellent alternative to traditional steel boning. It provides a moderate level of support and helps to shape the garment to the desired silhouette. Polyester boning is easy to work with and can be sewn directly onto the fabric or inserted into a casing. It is also machine washable and can be cut to the desired length with scissors.
